Disclosures

Doctors accumulate relationships with companies and institutions over a career: a manufacturer runs the training course for its own device, a professional society pays for a flight to a congress, an employer funds a research post. Most of these are ordinary and unavoidable. What is not ordinary is leaving them unstated while writing about the treatments they touch.

This page lists all of them in one place. It is written for patients, not for a form, and it is deliberately more detailed than the minimum. If you are reading an article on this site about a device or a drug, this is where you can check what sits behind it.

Relationships with companies

Boston Scientific

Boston Scientific has provided travel and accommodation for prosthetic urology training workshops, and ran the hands-on Rezum simulator training at Bangkok Hospital Headquarters in September 2022.

The company manufactures both the Rezum water vapour system for benign prostatic enlargement and inflatable penile prostheses. Both appear in articles on this site. No manufacturer has any role in what is written here, and no manufacturer has any role in which device is recommended to an individual patient.

Transmedic

Transmedic sponsored course fees, travel and accommodation for the Rectal Spacer course at National University Hospital, Singapore, in September 2024. Transmedic distributes the Barrigel rectal spacer.

Eisai

In October 2023 Eisai invited him to speak on urological medicines at a session in Phnom Penh that was broadcast nationally across Cambodia. No honorarium, travel support or payment of any kind was received for that session. It is listed here because the event was organised by a pharmaceutical company, which is the relationship worth knowing about regardless of whether money changed hands.

Institutional and professional support

These are not commercial relationships, but they are stated for the same reason: this site directs patients to a particular hospital, and readers are entitled to know who funds what.

• 曼谷医院总部 — funds the scholarship supporting his Research Scholar and Clinical Observer post at the Scott Department of Urology, Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Medical Center (2025–2026). BHQ also provided travel and accommodation for the South Central Section AUA meeting in Tucson, Arizona, 2026. Bangkok Hospital Headquarters is also his employer and the hospital named throughout this site.
• 贝勒医学院（Baylor College of Medicine） — provided travel and accommodation for the SMSNA 2026 Fall Scientific Meeting, Orlando.
• Taiwan Urological Association — provided travel, accommodation and an honorarium for the TUOA 2020 congress in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
• Thai Urological Association under Royal Patronage — provided travel and accommodation for the 20th UAA Congress in Dubai, 2023, where he attended as a national representative of Thailand.

What he does not have

A disclosure list is only useful if it also says what is absent. As of the date below:

• No advisory board, consultancy or proctoring role with any company.
• No shares, options or other financial interest in any medical device or pharmaceutical company.
• No payment for prescribing, implanting or recommending any product.
• No commercial sponsorship of this website, and no advertising on it.

Why this page exists

Manufacturer-run training is how most surgeons learn a new device. Societies routinely pay for members to attend congresses. None of this is improper, and a doctor who claimed to have no such relationships at all would either be very early in a career or not telling you everything.

What matters is that you can see them and weigh them yourself, and that you can ask about them. It is a fair question to put to any surgeon who implants devices, anywhere, and you are welcome to ask it here.
