into the world\u2019s largest medical hub is an experience that words can barely capture \u2014 but it is a journey I feel compelled to share. My professional path has brought me to Houston, Texas, where I find myself wearing two distinct, highly demanding hats at one of the most prestigious medical institutions in the United States: <strong>Baylor College of Medicine (BCM)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are an international medical graduate, a practicing specialist looking to expand your global horizons, or simply curious about what it takes to step away from a long-standing surgical career and become an international academic scholar, this inside look will give you an honest view of life on the ground. Balancing the dual responsibilities of a <strong>Research Scholar<\/strong> and a <strong>Clinical Observer<\/strong> at BCM is intense, exhilarating, and deeply rewarding \u2014 all at once. I came to Houston after nine years of active urology practice \u2014 eight of them building a urology service in Cambodia, then Bangkok Hospital Headquarters from 2024 \u2014 and in all that time my world revolved around patient care, surgery, and clinical management.
